Seventh FIMSA Congress (FIMSA 2018) was held on 10-13 November 2018 at the Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference was hosted by the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Association of Thailand (AAIAT). The FIMSA Congress hosted by the FIMSA member society every 3 years provides good opportunity for scientists and students in immunology and related fields in Asia and Pacific Regions to expose to cutting edge immunology research. The theme for the FIMSA 2018 is “Crosstalk between Innate and Adaptive Immunity in Health and Disease” which reflects the current trend in appreciation of the tight link between innate and adaptive immunity.


FIMSA 2018 has 2 plenary sessions, 37 invited sessions, 22 oral presentations, and 7 industry supported symposium. We warmly welcomed 418 participants in Bangkok. This great numbers consist of 294 delegates from 35 countries, 55 invited speakers from 13 countries, 68 exhibitors. The 56 percent of participants were international and 44 percent were local. The top 5 participants came from Thailand (183 participants) following by South Korea, India, China and Singapore.

According to abstract submission, FIMSA 2018 has selected the final list of 24 oral presentations and 136 poster presentations out of 205 papers. The conference gave 30 Travel awards from 10 FIMSA International Travel Awards, 6 ASI Sponsored Travel Bursaries and 14 AAIAT Awards.


In terms of PR and marketing were online and offline activities to promote the FIMSA 2018 conference. The online marketing was EDM (Electronic Direct Mail) and Google AdWords. Offline Marketing was local and international activities.
