In conjunction with hosting member societies, FIMSA has supported international students and early career scientists to attend national annual scientific meetings of the Australasian Society for Immunology and the Japanese Society for Immunology since 2000.

1. 5th Congress of the Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania
The 5th FIMSA congress will be held in New Dehli, India, on 14-17 March 2012, with the main theme of "Translational Immunology in Health and Disease". Online registration and hotel booking are now open on our official website http://www.fimsa2012.com
FIMSA will offer travel awards to post-graduate students and early career post-doctoral scientists to attend The FIMSA 5th congress. 2. iFReC/SIgN Winter School 2012 on Advanced Immunology
Awaji Yumebutai International Conference Center, Awaji Island, Japan, January 16 - 20, 2012
The four-day intensive program for the year 2012 will include lectures from 16 leading immunologists on a wide range of topics and the format of the school will facilitate exchange of ideas and establishment of networking opportunities for Winter School participants. Our ultimate goal is for the school to become a major academic focal point in the field of immunology. We aim to provide opportunities for both international and domestic students to explore their own interests in immunology, and to foster a new generation of scientists who will lead and challenge the boundaries of immunological science in the future. We welcome students from all disciplines to participate in the program. The selection process is highly competitive and we expect, expecting students to be highly motivated to participate actively in seminars, and to be determined to extend their intellectual horizons when studying at the Winter School.
