After having worked as a clinical doctor for 4 years (Resident and Respiratory Internal Medicine), I started a basic research (about the analysis of MD-1 and MD-2, which are associated proteins with TLRs) and I acquired a doctorate in Saga Medical University. After 13 years of working on Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo, I arrived at the present University. I am working on an elucidation of immunological functions of serum protein MD-1 and complement control factor C4BP, and of an immunological reinforcement function in the skin of the bee venom PLA2.
