The assessment panel was also committed to ensuring where possible, an equitable distribution of awards throughout the Federation and this included noting if applicants had previously been supported by FIMSA. Selections were coordinated with other awards made by the Organizing Committee of the ICI and, where known, the FIMSA member societies, to ensure that collectively we could provide assistance to the maximum number of people. Of the 42 applicants assessed, at least 22 have received an award from either FIMSA, the ICI or FOCIS organizing committees or their member societies.
