1. FIMSA Travel Award Ceremony
FIMSA awarded eight Travel Grants for IUIS 2025, supporting young immunologists from FIMSA-member countries and regions in attending the congress. While ten recipients were originally selected, two were ultimately unable to participate. Among them, Farid Ghorbaninezhad from Iran was unable to obtain a visa for this year’s event. In response, the FIMSA Executive Committee has offered to transfer his travel award to support his participation in the FIMSA Advanced Training Course 2026 in Australia.
2. Opening remarks
Dr. Osamu Takeuchi, President of FIMSA, opened the meeting and gave the welcome message. All the participants introduced themselves. We welcomed Dr. Maryam Al-Nesf Al-Mansouri, a councillor from the Qatar Allergy and Immunology Society (QAIS).
3. EXCO Reports
3-1 President: Dr. Osamu Takeuchi reported the activities and conferences hosted by FIMSA during the past year, especially congratulating the great success of the FIMSA Advanced Immunology Course 2025 held in New Delhi, India.
3-2 Secretory General: Dr. Bo Huang gave the secretory general report. He especially congratulated the great success of the IUIS-FIMSA Symposium hosted by FIMSA as part of the IUIS 2025, and reported the FIMSA website maintenance work supported by the Chinese Society for Immunology (CSI) office.
3-3 Treasurer: Dr Young-Min Hyun presented the financial situation. He explained the revenue from the IUIS and expenses for FIMSA congress 2024 in Taiwan, FIMSA Advanced Immunology Course 2025 in India, and travel awards for IUIS2025.
4. Council Members' reports from each member society
Councillors from China, South Korea, Singapore, India, Australia and New Zealand, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Qatar presented their recent activities.
5. Report of FIMSA Advanced Course 2025 in India
Dr. Reena Rajput reported the FIMSA Advanced Immunology Course 2025, held at 10-12 February 2025, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India.
6. Plans for upcoming FIMSA meetings
6-1. FIMSA Advanced Course, 2026 (Australia)
Dr. Di Yu presented the preparatory plans for the 2026 FIMSA Advanced Training Course in Translational Immunology, held in conjunction with the ASI International Clinical Translation School (CTS). The course is scheduled to take place from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Translational Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia. Notably, gender balance will be prioritized, with half of the invited speakers being female. ASI will offer 20 international and 20 domestic scholarships to support participant attendance.
6-2. 10th FIMSA Congress, 2027 (India)
FIMSA congress 2027 would be held on October 11-15, 2027, at New Delhi. The IUIS Council proposed to hold the council meeting simultaneously at the time of the FIMSA 2027. The FIMSA council approved the proposal.
6-3. FIMSA Advanced Course 2028
Dr. Bo Huang suggested the CSI would hold the 2028 FIMSA Advanced Course, which obtained extensive appreciation.
7. Discussion on the cooperation with the IUIS Edu Committee
FIMSA council members agreed for the support to education courses organized by the IUIS Education committee by granting up to five attendees of the course a registration fee waiver for the next FIMSA course.
8. Discussion on the FIMSA policy
According to the discussion above, FIMSA council agreed to revise the FIMSA policy as described below.
9. Discussion on increasing revenue for FIMSA
The potential financial support from industry such as sponsoring members for FIMSA was discussed.
10. Discussion on gender equality and diversity
It was discussed that the gender balance in FIMSA conference speakers needed further valuing. The goal of female vs. male speaker ratio was 50:50, which would be continuously supervised by IUIS.
11. Discussion of any other business
FIMSA council discussed about the establishment of FIMSA Junior Committee. The FIMSA Junior Committee would be comprised of junior members from each FIMSA member society. The FIMSA Junior Committee would organize activities and cooperate with the IUIS Junior Community.

Guidelines for FIMSA meetings
Background
It is essential for local FIMSA organizers of meetings/congress/symposiums/training courses to know full scope of FIMSA support.
Objective
This policy is to ensure successive FIMSA Council members and FIMSA Treasury and FIMSA meeting organizers are aware of financial obligations and limitations to FIMSA-funded events.
Communication of Policy
This policy will be communicated within the FIMSA council through the secretariat to ensure high awareness. When planning begins for a new conference, the organizing committee will be made aware of this policy by the local FIMSA councilor.
Financial backing obligations
1. Financial backing provided by FIMSA
FIMSA will provide up to $10,000 USD to the local meeting organizers. Final amount of funds to be confirmed on individual conferences.
2. Travel bursary details
FIMSA provides funds for travel bursaries, typically $1000 USD for 10 persons, which are selected by FIMSA following formal call for applications and scoring in accordance with the FIMSA Travel Award Policy document.
3. Support for the registration fees in collaboration with the IUIS EDU committee
In collaboration with the IUIS Education Committee, FIMSA will provide funds to cover the registration fees for FIMSA events for up to five students recommended by the organizers of IUIS Education Committee courses held in the Asia–Oceania region. The maximum funds will be $1000 USD.
4. Travel of FIMSA Council members
Attendance at FIMSA-meetings is to be paid for by individual FIMSA council members or their local society.
5. Expected return of funds to FIMSA
FIMSA requires local organizers to return all $10,000 USD, and 50% of the event profit when there is a gain.
