Dr. Hong-Yan Qin, Director of the Department of Medical Genetics and Developmental Biology. She is a vice-chairman of Genetics Association of Shaanxi Province, the Scientific and Technological Innovation Talent in Young People of Shaanxi Province (2016). She majors in the innate immune cells development and their role in the transformation of inflammation to cancer. She took charge of 8 grants supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) including major program, general program and youth program. 2 grants supported by PLA and one sub-project supported by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (973 Program). Since 2004, she has published 45 international papers on SCI journals, such as Nat Immunol, Immunity, Hepatology, J Hepatology and Cancer Research and so on. She gained the Second Awards for National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2012 (9th place), the First Award for Scientific and Technology of Shaanxi province in 2010 and 2007 (4th and 2nd place).
