Lining Zhang, Ph.D. M.D, Professor, Director of Department of Immunology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University. She is one of twenty Medical Talents of Shandong Provence and also serves as the review expert of the National Science and Technology Awards and National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC), President of the Shandong Society for Immunology and vice chairman of women Scientific working committee in the Chinese Society for Immunology. Dr. Zhang’s research is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms whereby immune responses are regulated in major diseases. In recent years, her research focuses on exploring the role of new T cell subsets(Th17 and Treg) and new immune molecules（PDCD4 , TIPE2 and IL-37） in metabolism-related diseases (especial atherosclerosis and obesity) and cancer from animal models to clinical specimen.
